FREE CROCHET PATTERN - Equinox Scarf

I tend to get bored with crocheting traditional scarves. So, I designed the Equinox Scarf to avoid those features that turn me off of the traditional scarf. This scarf is worked lengthwise and holding yarn double, which means you’ll see progress quickly as the rows build across the full width. The playful color change in the middle keeps things interesting, breaking up the monotony that sometimes comes with crocheting long scarves. It’s a simple twist on a classic design that adds personality without adding complexity.

The Yarn!

I used Loops & Threads Impeccable, a #4 worsted weight yarn. It’s durable yet soft, making it comfortable to wear while holding up beautifully over time. Plus, it comes in a wide variety of colors, so you can customize your scarf to match your personal style or create thoughtful handmade gifts. Worsted weight yarn also makes this project beginner-friendly, as it’s easy to handle and works up quickly.

Customization

You can make the scarf longer by chaining an additional 10 stitches in each color.  This will change the amount of yarn needed and you may need more than one skein in each color. Make the scarf uniquely yours by choosing complementary or contrasting colors. For a complete winter set, pair this scarf with the Equinox Beanie that is available for purchase.
