The Yarn!

This pattern was designed for the Lion Brand Mandala yarns, offering endless possibilities to showcase their vibrant colorways.  I chose the Mandala Baby in the colorway Echo Caves for a subtle ombre. It will look just as stunning in any of the Mandala lines! If you prefer a more minimalist vibe, consider the Mandala Ombre or Gradient line for a monochromatic yet equally striking effect.

The color transitions in Mandala yarns make them a dream for projects like this, allowing you to effortlessly create a masterpiece with just a few skeins.

Construction

At first glance, the herringbone stitch might look intricate, but don’t be fooled! This design combines the stitch with a larger hook size than recommended for the yarn, resulting in a fabric that’s not only lightweight but also drapes beautifully. The pattern is an easy-to-learn repeat that’s perfect for beginners venturing into their first ambitious project, while still offering a meditative and enjoyable experience for seasoned crocheters.
